Stanislaus Community Foundation Launches Nonprofit Directory

The Stanislaus Community Foundation hosts a comprehensive guide to IRS 501(c)(3) nonprofit charities located in Stanislaus, San Joaquin, and Merced counties.

The Nonprofit Directory, which uses real-time nonprofit data from Candid, a national platform, lists all nonprofit organizations and foundations in Stanislaus, San Joaquin, and Wednesday. This local resource is provided in partnership with Legacy Health Endowment and the Mary Stuart Rogers Foundation.

“Stanislaus Community Foundation donors often want to know more about the nonprofits they support,” noted Marian Kaanon, CEO of the Stanislaus Community Foundation. “This easy-to-use directory is accessible to anyone who wants to understand local association missions and programs. It’s also a great tool for nonprofits, allowing them to showcase their work to a wider audience. »

The Stanislaus Nonprofit Directory uses transparency seals developed by Candid, which show users how much information each nonprofit organization has shared with the public. This directory helps donors learn more about local nonprofits and find those whose missions and programs align with their values. Through Candid, nonprofits and foundations can tell their stories, showcase programs, and rate their impact. The directory also allows users to search for nonprofit 990s for more transparency.
