Tanner, Chairman of the Board of Little League International. “After making the difficult decision to cancel the 2020 World Series and regional tournaments and postpone the celebration of the 75e Little League Baseball World Series, we felt relocating Congress was the best decision for our organization, the community and all of our dedicated volunteers. Little League was born in Williamsport and lives all over the world thanks to the support and spirit of our volunteers, and after such a difficult year we can’t think of a more suitable place to come together as a unique team . A little league.

Held every four years, the International Congress will meet June 10-13, 2022 across the Williamsport community, with the last session being the start day of National Little League Week, the kick-off to the tournament season. International Little Leagues and the celebration of the 75e Little League Baseball World Series.

Little League International remains fully committed to making the trip to Williamsport, logistically and financially, as easy as possible for all of its volunteers who will be in attendance and provide those participants with more travel information, the hotel and other logistics in the near future. As this event will take place in the middle of the Little League season, the Little League and Regional Operations staff will also support District Administrators and Assistant District Administrators with information and solutions to ensure attendance at convention will not impact their district operations.

“This event has been an integral part of our organization since the creation of the DA position in 1956 and the first convention held in Chicago,” said Stephen D. Keener, President and CEO of Little League. “Our event two years ago in New Orleans was an unforgettable event and a great opportunity to solicit input from our dedicated volunteer leaders to help plan the future of the Little League program. We look forward to an exciting 2022 and a time when we can all be safely together with our Little League family. “

As part of the event, Little League International will work with the entire Williamsport community as it welcomes over a thousand volunteers from around the world to help write the next chapter in Little League history.

The last International Little League Convention held in Williamsport was held in 1989, in coordination with the celebration of the 50e anniversary of the organization, and offered all of Little League’s volunteer District Administrators the same hospitality that the Williamsport community provides to World Series teams, fans and volunteers every summer.
