Azerbaijan organizes the International Congress of Social Sciences
BAKU, Azerbaijan, June 2. The 7th International Social Science Congress, jointly organized by the Parliament of Azerbaijan, the Grand National Assembly of Turkey and the Balkan International University, was held at ADA University in Baku, Trend reports.
Speaking at the event, Parliament Speaker Sahiba Gafarova stressed the great importance of the congress’ dedication to the Karabakh region of Azerbaijan.
“It is very important to inform academia about the realities related to Karabakh, as well as to reflect them in scientific literature and pass them on to future generations,” Gafarova said.
According to her, another important objective of the congress is to examine the political, historical, sociological and cultural foundations, prospects for the development of relations between brotherly countries, as well as the development of new ideas and initiatives that will contribute to this process.
She also noted that the above issues were reflected in the topics of the congress meetings.
As the head of parliament pointed out, the liberation of Azerbaijani lands from Armenian occupation [in the 2020 Second Karabakh War]
and the resulting processes have shown that Azerbaijani and Turkish unity and solidarity are the main factors guaranteeing peace, security, cooperation and prosperity in the region, meeting the interests of all countries, including the Brother Turkish States.
“Ensuring the territorial integrity of Azerbaijan has created new opportunities to strengthen the unity of the Turkish world,” Gafarova added.
